Paranoia Protocol
You wake up on a floor that isn’t yours.
The desks are stripped. The lab is empty. Screens still glow, but nobody is sitting. Something cleared this place overnight — and left you behind.
Paranoia Protocol is a short top-down stealth/exploration game about moving quietly, reading what they left behind, and deciding who to trust when every keycard could be a test.
How to play
Controls
- WASD — Move
- E — Interact / talk / read notes & terminals / use vents & panels
- E or Enter — Advance dialogue
- Esc — Pause (or close camera view if open)
Basics
- Explore the floor room by room (reception, break room, server room, lab, office, storage, security, exit).
- Walk up to notes, terminals, people, doors, switches, and items, then press E.
- Watch the Suspicion bar. Loud mistakes, bad talks, and wrong doors raise it. Too high and you’re compromised.
- Check your Inventory on the HUD for keycards, keys, and evidence.
Progression
- Talk to Dr. Vale in the lab — she needs the server cable panel fixed.
- In the server room, interact with Cables and match colored lines (click left port, then matching color on the right).
- Return to Vale for the Blue Keycard (needed for the exit).
- Read the Lab Note — an Evidence Key is hidden inside.
- Use the key on the Evidence Box if you want the expose ending.
- Do not use the Red Keycard on the executive door — it’s a trap.
- Reach the EXIT with blue clearance to leave.
If you finish too quickly (lockdown)
- The lab seals. You’re locked in with Dr. Vale.
- Normal doors out of the lab are shut.
- Use the Vent at the top of the lab wall to crawl into the server room.
- NPCs (except Vale) have red locator cones in the direction they face. Stay out of them.
- If you’re spotted → siren, shot, caught ending.
- Pieces of a 4-digit override code are hidden in notes (Visitor Log, Sticky Note, Torn Memo, Lab Note).
- Find at least two digits, then talk to Vale — she can guess the full code.
- Use the Override terminal near the exit corridor, enter the code, then leave through the exit.
Endings
- Escape — get out with blue clearance
- Escape + Expose — escape while carrying the evidence
- Caught — spotted during lockdown or chased down
- Betrayed — used the red keycard
Credits show Ending unlocked 1/2 or 2/2.
